'STELLARIA Junior Cello Ensemble'
For young musicians-at-heart aged 4 to 14.
An introduction to the Cello, music theory and history, and learning how to play music in a group.
A fabulous opportunity to enhance kids' intellectual and artistic development, while also learning to be self-disciplined and focused, and understand they play an active role in a cohesive group where each and every member's contribution is paramount.
Besides, the Stellaria Junior Cello Ensemble will occasionally have the opportunity to have special classes, rehearse and work with international renown cellists, and perform at local small musical events.
Participants are expected to have their own small cello (a 1/10, or a 1/8, or a 1/4, or a 1/2, or a 3/4 cello, or a full size cello) depending on age and height of the child).
However, as part of our social enterprise ethos, talented young participants from low income families will have the opportunity to use a cello for their studies for free (subject to terms and conditions).
The sessions will run on SUNDAYS (or SATURDAYS, depending on demand) at 10AM
Please ensure you are on time to tune and settle down.
Rehearsal stars at 10.10AM and will be 90 minutes long.
Account for 5 to 10 minutes after the rehearsal to check on news and to pack.
Limited places available: early pre-booking highly recommended.
Location to be confirmed, but most probably at The Hub, 8 Fairhazel Gardens, South Hampstead, London NW6 3SG.
