Camden Coding Club
Camden coding club is run on a Saturday once a month in a fantastic building at the heart of Kings Cross. The session is from 2:00 – 3:30pm for age from 7 to 17.
We provide laptops but due to limited numbers we encourage attendees to bring their own laptops.
We are planning to split this club into two age groups (7 to 11 and 12-17 years old) and to run on either Mondays or Wednesdays from 4-5:30 PM for one of above ages groups. We are also planning to run a coding club only for girls.
CoderDojo is a global, volunteer-led movement that organises free computer clubs for young people aged 7–17, and there are more than 1600 clubs (Dojos) in countries all over the world. At a Dojo, young people explore technology and learn how to code in a fun, relaxed environment. CoderDojo gives young people confidence, new friends, and valuable skills for the future, and it can open up new avenues for children who might not otherwise have such learning opportunities. You can find out more at coderdojo.com.
We are also looking for volunteers who have experience in coding/programming with Python, Scratch, Raspberry pi or any other programming language. If you don't have coding/programming skills you are very welcome! We are open for everyone.
