Each month, Love Camden highlights an object from the Camden Art Collection that ties in with the cultural agenda across the borough of Camden. This month: David Hockney.
2017 sees the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act (1967) which introduced the partial decriminalisation of same sex relationships in England and Wales via an act of Parliament.

Throughout the year Camden will host a wide range of events, screenings, exhibitions, talks and online articles to explore, celebrate and reflect upon the history of LGBTQ+ culture, activism, societal shifts and legal and cultural breakthroughs, and to look towards the future in this ever changing social and cultural landscape.
Co-curated by House of Illustration’s Olivia Ahmad with Isabelle Bricknall – Brocklehurst’s model and muse, this major retrospective exhibits a prolific output that has been little seen until now. 100 figurative portraits chronicle the subversion of subculture, exploring gender, sexuality and identity.
