Because it wouldn’t be Christmas without attempting to look graceful on ice… Open from 4 December this 200m square rink will be accompanied with lively music, hot chocolate, mulled wine and doughnuts. 4.The Illustrator's Christmas Fair at Kings Cross, Saturday 9th December 2017
House of Illustration is taking over the West Handyside Canopy for the Illustrators’ Christmas Fair. This is the perfect opportunity to find that elusive, one-of-a-kind Christmas gift!
5. Dine with mulled wine at the Wellcome Kitchen, 14 December
Accompanied with the Wellcome Trust Choir, this late night opening at the Wellcome Collection is a great chance to pick up some unusual gifts, alongside some tasty food and tipples. Two courses and a glass of prosecco for £22.
This performance is the world premiere of a new composition by Jill Jarman in collaboration with Dame Evelyn Glennie. Marking the culmination of Dame Evelyn’s term as King’s Cross Musician in Residence, Echoes from the Birdcage is the story of King’s Cross in six amazing movements.
