Choreodrome 2025 Call-Out
Choreodrome is The Place’s annual residency programme aimed at supporting experienced artists to develop their own choreographic work or ideas.
Selected artists will receive a commission of £2,500 and 1-2 weeks of studio time. Artists from any discipline who wish to research an idea that has choreography or dance as a key component are welcome to apply. Through Choreodrome, The Place prioritise support for ideas for projects that could be presented in the Theatre (occasionally they support ideas which will have an alternative presentation format, e.g. outdoors, gallery spaces). Choreodrome has three focused booster packs available. This is additional support for artists working in particular focus areas.
Apply by: Fri 24 Jan 202. Interviews: 3 and 10 March 2025. Residency: 14 Jul – 5 Sep 2025
Volunteer Performers Needed - O2 Centre Finchely Road
Renowned King’s Cross venue The Place is bringing the community-led dance show Super Normal Extra Natural by Requardt & Rosenberg to the O2 Shopping Centre, in Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage, from 28 February to 2 March 2025, and they’re looking for up to 20 adult community participants to take part.
All ages (18 and over) and abilities are welcome – no previous experience needed, just enthusiasm for moving and performing, and some of your time. The show premiered in January at the Whitgift Shopping Centre in Croydon as part of London Borough of Culture.
The Place is excited to have the opportunity to present the show locally in Camden. They’re hoping to confirm all 20 participants by the end of January. Volunteer expenses for participating in rehearsals and performances will be £20 each day, Wednesday to Sunday.
