6Music Camden Fringe: ZKELETONZ + Fortnight In Florida, Runrummer @ Latin Groove Bar
Zkeletonz will celebrate Camden’s unique musical pedigree and heritage as part of the BBC 6 Music Fringe festival, alongside a carefully curated selection of support acts and DJs:
Fortnight In Florida, who were born from a shared love of disco, synth-pop, and an encyclopedic knowledge of Alan Partridge quotes. They made the ‘Glastonbury 2016 Emerging Talent’ longlist and the ‘Unsigned Guide Spotlight Emerging Acts of 2017’. Their tracks ‘Cameo’ and ‘It’s Alright’ were both ‘Fresh On The Net’ Fresh Faves, and received radio play on BBC 6 Music and Amazing Radio.
Runrummer is a cutting edge queer electro solo artist. She performs with a full live band and has received significant support from BBC Introducing including regular airplay and a slot on the BBC stage at Worcester Music Festival. Fuelled by a passion to tell her story and connect with people, Runrummer is sure to cement herself as a key new face in the British electronic alt-pop scene. She has plenty of new music coming in 2020.
And of course Zkeletonz, who sound “very funky, like Jamiroquai” (BBC Coventry & Warwickshire breakfast show) and "fans of Scissor Sisters will love" (Richer Unsigned).
Zkeletonz combine innovative electronic synth-pop music with high energy eclectic art and a satirical yet thought-provoking take on the end of the world. The 3 talented band members attempt to answer the timeless question: “Should you still dance when you’re doomed?”
