St George’s Gardens was bought in 1713 to become one of the first burial grounds away from a church. The land was divided into two to be used by two separate churches. During World War II damage was caused to the park, but otherwise the park has seen only a little change. St George’s Gardens is located in the South of the Borough.
This picturesque garden has paths separating it into sections, making it perfect for intimate gatherings.
This space is a very popular spot for lunches and picnics. Previous events held in this park include company picnics, art trails and community events.
