This is the place in Camden for world-class contemporary art exhibitions and education. Founded in 1965 by artists, Camden Arts Centre aims to involve the public in a participatory way, offering many free events, workshops and tours!

Get fit for free! The outdoor gyms across Camden are suitable for all ages and all fitness levels, and without any membership fees, this gym is a perfect way to work out on a budget!

4.    Join a running group


Outdoor gym not your thing? Why not join a running group? There are multiple initiatives in the borough that offer free beginner classes, like the Mornington Chasers. Or join a running club like the ParkRun, which organises free running sessions all around the borough. 

5.    Go green with community gardening


Become a volunteer for a local community garden! The Calthorpe Project and the Bring Back The Butterflies project are both Camden gardening initiatives that can always use some help. Check out their cause and grow some green fingers!  

6.    Relax in Wellcome Collection’s Reading Room

This excellent reading room features a quiet ambiance that stretches into every corner of the building. Tired of staring your own research? Gain some knowledge on medical history by going through the book stacks or visit their digital catalogue online. 7.    Broaden your knowledge at UCL's Lunch Hour Lectures

8.    Explore Camden's green spaces
