The Ceramics Weekend is a chance to tour their fascinating spaces, find out about ceramics techniques
and processes, and pick up some unique pieces on sale. It’s a must for enthusiasts and anyone looking to
find out more about the art and craft of ceramics.
A series of Hey Clay! free workshops will be held throughout the weekend:
Make your own Ceramic Work with Josie Warshaw
Saturday 11-1.30pm and 2.30-4pm
Josie will show you basic and more advanced hand-building techniques for small, ceramic hollow
enclosed clay. These forms are suitable as a starting point for animal, human or other imaginative forms.
Suitable for people of all ages and of all abilities be you a complete beginner with clay or more advanced
with the material….you can make whatever you decide.
Throwing Vases with Freya Bramble Carter
Join Freya for a demonstration and a chance to try hands on some throwing and handbuilding
Suitable for over 16s.
FATBERG with Alison Cooke
Sunday 11am-1pm & Sunday 2pm-3pm
A workshop using clay excavated from the future supersewer. The workshop is free but there will be a
small cost for firing if you choose to do so.
