A Fresh Start for the New Year: Meet Our Love Camden Advisors

As we step into the New Year, we’re excited to spotlight our Love Camden Advisors, a group of passionate residents who were appointed last year and are an instrumental part of shaping Camden Council’s community-led vision for arts and culture. Their contributions are helping us lay the foundation for a programme of events and activities celebrating Camden’s heritage, uncovering hidden histories, and exploring its future identity.

What is the Love Camden Advisors Group?

The Love Camden Advisors Group serves as a forum for residents to help shape and develop Camden’s cultural offerings. By contributing their diverse knowledge, experience, and community connections, the group helps ensure that Camden’s arts and culture programme reflects the voices of its vibrant communities.

The 9 appointed Advisors represent a wide range of neighbourhoods across Camden, including Highgate, Tufnell Park, Kentish Town, Chalk Farm, Kilburn, Somers Town, Euston, Regent’s Park, Holborn and Covent Garden, King’s Cross, and Bloomsbury.

The Role of a Love Camden Advisor:

Our Love Camden Advisors contribute in the following ways:

  • Vision and Programming: Sharing ideas for a cultural programme that reflects Camden’s unique identity.

  • Community Engagement: Advising and assisting the Culture Service with outreach, participation, and engagement strategies.

  • Project Selection: Consulting on funding panels and project selection processes, such as festival grants.

We’re thrilled to begin 2025 with the Love Camden Advisors as part of our team and look forward to building a cultural future that truly represents the heart of Camden.

Welcome Sami, Ajay, Lucy, Cina, Sajna, Dipti, Claire, Malihe and Sophia!
