Camden High Street Pedestrianisation Trial

Crowd gathered outside Camden Town Station entrance on a sunny day, with nearby HSBC signage visible.

Big news for Camden Town!

After engaging with the community, Camden Council has announced an 18-month trial pedestrianisation of a part of Camden High Street.

Introducing Camden High Street Live

This trial has opened a fantastic opportunity for Camden's Culture Service (Love Camden) to create a vibrant programme of cultural events and breathe new life into this iconic space.

Starting with Camden at 60: The Big Street Party, Camden High Street Live will feature five major events over the next 12 months to reflect and celebrate Camden's culture and community through music, art, fashion and more!

This trial pedestrianisation will aim to create safer, healthier and more enjoyable public places for residents, businesses, and visitors.

This new trial motor traffic-free space on the High Street will run from the junction of Parkway, Camden Road and Kentish Town Road (just before Camden Town Underground Station) to the Hawley Crescent and Jamestown Road junction.
