We are thrilled to celebrate Hampstead’s Well Walk Theatre win for Theatre Building of the Year at the esteemed Stage Awards. As one of only three finalists chosen across the UK, this recognition highlights the incredible impact of this unique arts and culture venue within just a few months of its grand opening.

This award is one of the theatre profession’s most prestigious accolades, and Camden Council takes immense pride in having supported this ambitious project from its inception in 2019. The Well Walk Theatre stands as a testament to the borough’s dedication to fostering creativity and community through innovative spaces.

Nestled in a lovingly restored Victorian building in one of Hampstead’s most picturesque corners, The Well Walk Theatre is a tiny yet perfectly formed 50-seat independent venue. Dedicated to high-quality family productions, it offers a vintage, nostalgic universe reflected in its Victorian-inspired design. From glove puppet shows and traditional magic acts to mime and silent films with live musical accompaniment, the theatre offers a truly enchanting experience.
