Dhaga bring you a craft workshop to create a collaborative tapestry-mural using mirror, collage, fabric and paint. This will be based on Queer & Trans South Asian identities and exploring the theme of home.

You'll get to make mini identity portraits, based on queering South Asian miniature paintings. These will come together to create a collective tapestry of who we are, how we want to be seen, and how we share this with each other, for us and by us. When someone else looks at your mirror portrait they will also see themselves within what you have created, sharing and creating synergies between all of the identities that exist within our community.

This will be in a Queer and Trans South Asian space that is expressive, creative and always care-centred. The tapestry will become part of the You Can Sit With Us exhibition.

No experience of craft is required and all materials will be provided.
